This post is all about creating and designing your 2025 life vision.
At the beginning of the new year I sit down to design my new year. And every year I notice that my vision evolves a little. In some years it has been minor shifts and in other years, like 2025 there are some BIG vision shifts.
AND I’M EXCITED. I hope you are feeling this energy and vibe from where you are right now!
As I sit down to write this, I want you to understand a key element when creating your 2025 vision – consider the FEELING you want next year to be. I used to create Pinterest boards with ZERO intention, filled with inspiring materialistic aesthetics but when you know how you want to feel and build from that your vision becomes so much more real. That is where and when your vision truly comes to life.
My core vision for the new year is self care. I’m talking about true soul-felt nourishment and happiness. Intentional mornings and evenings, building my dream life, making choices for my wellbeing, and saying yes to things that fill me up. Hobbies, friends, and a life that feels good.
Let’s design our 2025 self care life – whatever your version may look like we are all entering it together 🤍

Designing Your 2025 Vision
Part I: Identify Your Core Pillars
Core pillars are the fundamental areas of life that create the foundation for your overall wellbeing, happiness, and success, whatever that means to you. They’re the main support columns of a building – each one plays a role in holding up the structure of your life.
Here’s what makes them important:
- They act as life categories that help organize your goals and priorities
- Instead of having scattered goals, pillars help group related aspects of your life
- Makes it easier to see where you might be overinvesting or underinvesting your energy
- They ensure balanced growth
- Prevents hyperfocus on one area (like career) while neglecting others (like health)
- Helps you develop as a whole person rather than just in isolated areas
- They provide clarity for decision-making
- When faced with choices, you can evaluate how they impact each pillar
- Helps prioritize what truly matters to you
Some common core pillars:
- Personal Growth
- Wellness
- Relationships (friends & family)
- Career
- Financial
- Lifestyle
- Fun
The key is personalizing these pillars to match your values and life vision. Someone might combine or separate these differently, or add unique pillars that matter specifically to them. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach – what matters is that your pillars reflect what’s truly important in your life.
Part II: Goals & Visuals
Now that I’ve identified my pillars, I’m going to write out 2-3 goals within each pillar; taking the time to visualize my life. I am really leaning into how I want to feel and choosing goals that align with my vision and how I want my life to look this year.
The key is making each goal specific enough to act on, yet flexible enough to adapt as the year unfolds. Remember, we’re not aiming for perfection in every area – we’re seeking meaningful progress in the spaces that matter most to you.
(This is my favorite part) After, taking the time to write my goals within each of my core pillars I’m heading over to pinterest and finding pictures that align with my vision and how I want to feel within each of these core pillars. This helps me to embody the vision I have mapped out.

Part III: Journaling For Your 2025 Vision
Through my own journaling practice, I’ve discovered that the right questions can unlock powerful insights and guide us toward meaningful growth but even with the right questions you have to want to uncover the answers and reflections. I’m sharing 10 journal prompts that helped me align with my 2025 vision. There’s even a dash of mind-setting to help build your 2025 year as your best year.
These prompts are starting points for deeper exploration. Let them evolve with you throughout the year. The most meaningful insights often come from consistent reflection and deep dives.
10 Powerful Reflection Questions for 2025
1. What am I holding onto that I need to release in order to grow?
2. If I weren’t afraid of failure, what bold action would I take this year?
3. What did I learn about myself in moments of struggle or discomfort this past year?
4. Who do I need to become to align with the life I truly desire?
5. What habits or patterns are keeping me stuck, and how can I shift them?
6. What relationships or connections bring me the most joy and fulfillment?
7. What does success truly mean to me, and how can I embody it daily?
8. If I could accomplish only one thing this year, what would feel the most meaningful?
9. How can I show up more authentically in every area of my life?
10. What is one thing I kept saying I wanted to do this past year for myself that I kept putting off due to people pleasing?
Create A Personal Journaling Ritual
From my experience, creating a journal ritual helps you focus and be in the present as you write. Here is my ritual:
- Light a candle or rub 3 drops of essential oil in my hands with a deep inhale
- Settle my body and mind with 3-5 deep breaths
- Write without judgment or fear
Part IV: Community
Gather a few friends, head over to a cafe or cozy spot, and support one another in your vision board creations – it makes our commitments feel more real and achievable. These vision board gatherings will easily turn into cherished traditions, where we not only craft our futures but also strengthen the bonds that will help support us in making those visions a reality. Sharing our dreams in a supportive space helps us clarify our own vision but also allows us to draw inspiration from others who are equally committed to growth and transformation.
Final Thought
As we navigate the new year of 2025 together, remember that self-awareness is your strongest compass.
What will your story of growth and transformation look like this year?
