We are all moving through life, living our days the best we can. Some days are effortless, while others are a little more on the ‘can I go back to bed and start this day over‘ kind of days.

I have found that a moodboard is perfect for those days and the ones in between.

Why a Slow Life Moodboard?

A slow life emphasizes mindfulness, simplicity, and a deeper connection to ourselves and our surroundings. And a beautiful tool to help you visualize and manifest this lifestyle is a moodboard. A slow life moodboard can visually represent your goals, and aspirations, inspiring and guiding you toward a more mindful and serene existence.

  • Clarify Your Vision: A moodboard helps you define what a slow life means to you. This is so important! It has to be your path and vision to whatever slow looks like to you. Collect and organize images, colors, and words that resonate with your vision of tranquility and mindfulness.
  • Stay Motivated: Make it digital. Place it as your phone and laptop background. Being able to view your moodboard, you can keep your aspirations front and center, reminding yourself of the lifestyle changes you want to make and why they are important to you. I’ve found it to be incredibly motivating, and encouraging to take small, consistent steps towards a slower, more intentional lifestyle.
  • Boost Mindfulness: The act of curating and reflecting on your moodboard can be a mindful practice in itself, encouraging you to slow down and focus on the present moment.
  • Inspire Creativity: It’s a creative process that will help you explore new ideas and new ways to incorporate slow living principles into your daily life.

Benefits of a Slow Life Moodboard

Engaging with your moodboard will evoke positive emotions and be a source of a comforting reminder of the peaceful life you’re working towards, reducing stress and promoting your inner and outer vision for life.

The Creation of Your Slow Life Moodboard

Now that we’ve covered the why and the reasons, let’s create one! Your moodboard can be as few or as many pics as you need. I tend to lean towards 12 – 15 images, including the color blocks and word inspirations.

I prefer digital that way it’s always with me but a dedicated wall is always an option. Below, I have shared my current moodboard with you ๐Ÿ™‚
