Self Care Sunday Rituals

1. Luxurious Bath Ritual πŸ›πŸ•―οΈ

Do not underestimate a morning bath! My true suggestion if you are wanting a slow sunday or really soak in the slow self care ritual then try a morning bath (or an ‘everything’ shower.)

  • For the bath use epsom salts, essential oils (lavender, rose, or eucalyptus), or a bath bomb.
  • Add flower petals or herbal teas (like chamomile or green tea) for a spa-like touch.
    • I opt in for chamomile for the delious smell and look
  • Light candles, play soothing music, or meditate while you soak.
  • Finish with a rich body oil or lotion to lock in hydration.

2. DIY Face Mask Pampering πŸ§–β€β™€οΈβœ¨

I have been experimenting with DIY face makes and have loved the mixes below. But please be cautious of your skincare and allergies.

  • Try mixing up a natural, hydrating face mask:
    • For hydration: Blend yogurt, honey, and avocado.
    • For glow: Use turmeric, honey, and milk.
    • For detox: Combine bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar.
  • Apply the mask and relax for 15–20 minutes while sipping herbal tea or journaling.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water and follow with your favorite serum or moisturizer.

3. Gua Sha or Facial Massage 🌸

  • Treat yourself to a slow gua sha session or facial massage with a jade roller.
  • Use a facial oil or serum to help the tool glide smoothly across your skin.
  • Focus on lymphatic drainage and relaxation to reduce puffiness and boost circulation.
  • Finish with a cold compress or chilled eye masks to feel extra refreshed.
    • If you haven’t tried an ice bowl, this is your sign! I swear by this.

4. Scalp and Hair Care Ritual πŸ’†β€β™€οΈ

  • Start with a warm oil scalp massage using any oil that is suitable for you.
    • I prefer almond oil on damp hair.
    • In the winter months, I do this 1-2x a month.
  • Comb the oil through your hair, then wrap it in a towel for 20–30 minutes for deep conditioning.
  • Wash with a nourishing shampoo and conditioner, and let your hair air-dry for a natural, healthy finish.
  • Try using a silk scrunchie or pillowcase to protect your hair overnight.

5. At-Home Mani-Pedi πŸŒ·πŸ’…

  • Soak your hands and feet in warm water with Epsom salts and a few drops of essential oil.
    • I tend to sit on the sink for this since my boyfriend cannot fathom the idea of toes being in a bowl.
    • So grab a towel, dim the lights, or light a few candles and get comfy
  • Exfoliate with a sugar scrub or pumice stone to remove dead skin.
  • Trim and shape nails, then massage in a cuticle oil or cream.
  • Finish with a good moisturizing, keeping it natural with a clear strengthening treatment or your favorite polish.

6. Body Scrub & Dry Brushing 🌿

  • Use a dry brush before your shower to exfoliate, boost circulation, and stimulate lymphatic drainage.
  • Follow with a DIY body scrub made from coffee grounds, sugar, or sea salt mixed with coconut oil.
  • Rinse off and moisturize with a rich body butter or natural oil for baby-soft skin.
